Lisa Ann Wilkinson is a barrister and long-standing campaigner for legal reform in Ireland, with over 25 years of dedicated advocacy advancing women’s rights, equality, and systemic change.

A mother of two and an unwavering champion for victim-survivors of domestic abuse, she is committed to transforming the family court system so that it protects — rather than harms — the women and children who depend on it most.

Lisa has spent decades advocating across key areas of women’s rights, including:

• reproductive rights and her active role in the Repeal the 8th campaign,
• maternity rights and accountability in healthcare,
• gender equality and access to justice, and
• the protection of women and children experiencing domestic abuse and post-separation coercive control.
  

In her legal practice, she works closely with victim-survivors navigating the family courts, supporting them through the challenges of coercive control, unsafe contact proceedings, and systemic re-traumatisation. She is a leading voice calling for:

• mandatory fact-finding hearings,
• judicial education on coercive control,
• regulation of Section 32/47 assessments,
• removal of the presumption of contact,
• and statutory domestic-abuse-informed practice across all family law processes.
  

Driven by lived experience, professional insight, and decades of activism, Lisa is committed to building an Ireland where every survivor is safe, heard, and protected, and where the law reflects the reality of domestic abuse in all its forms.

Síle has worked on campaigns relating to women's health and women's rights, including convening her local Repeal the 8th campaign. She also founded an initiative to promote integration and cooperation between the local community and asylum seekers. A two-time election candidate and former political party national chairperson, Síle is now also doing a Barrister-at-Law degree and has become passionate about the difficulties faced by women survivors of domestic abuse and coercive control in the family law system.
